The specimen shown bears the following label data: ECUADOR; Sucumbíos; San Rafael, 52 km NE Baeza on rd. to Lago Agrio, 1290m, S00º06'09", W77º35'22", 17 Jan 2009, MV light, leg. J.S. Miller, D. Wagner, E. Tapia & B. Haber. The type locality for Eois margarita (Dognin) is western Colombia, San Antonio, 1600 m. The eastern Ecuadorian taxon probably represents an undescribed species.
