Adult female of Eois cancellata (dorsal), Yanayacu Biological Station, Napo, Ecuador

This, a common species at YBS, has provisionally been identified as "E. cancellata Warren". However, the locality (SE Peru) and overall appearance of the E. cancellata holotype suggest that the Ecuadorian species is not conspecific. Caterpillars of "E. cancellata" have been collected at YBS on Piper nr schupii and Piper hispidum (Piperaceae).
