General comments: 

This information is based an ongoing project dedicated to the inventory and dissemination of information on lepidopteran larvae, their host plants, and their parasitoids in a Costa Rican tropical wet forest and an Ecuadorian montane cloud forest.

N=25 rearings as of 2012, 8 eclosed, 9 were parasitized and 8 died.

Distribution: 

Collected from several locations in Heredia Province, Costa Rica.

Foodplant Associations: 

Moraceae: Ficus colubrinae, Ficus insipida, Ficus sp., Castilla elastica, Brosimum alicastrum

Parasitoid Associations: 

Tachinidae: Bolvesia sp. (N=7), Drino sp. (N=1). The Drino sp. larvae were attacked by a hyperparasitoid at night (Brachymeria sp., Chalcidae, Hymenoptera). No Brachymeria eclosed from their Drino host.

Braconidae: Cotesia sp. Greater than 100 Crotesia sp. pupae emerged from thier lerval host. Most of these parasitouds, however, failed to eclose. (N=1)
