Xenomigia caesura is one of 12 species in this genus found at Yanayacu Biological Station.
Geographic Range:
This species is known from a tiny area of Ecuador extending from the town of Cosanga to Yanayacu Biological Station, a distance of approximately 5 km. Within that range the moth is extremely common [see Miller and Thiaucourt (2011), Annals of the Entomological Society of America, vol. 104: 1033-1077].
Foodplant Associations:
Caterpillars of Xenomigia caesura feed on Chusquea nr scandens (Poaceae).
