Dognina honeyi Miller
Taxonomy:
Dognina honeyi belongs in a complex of cryptic species along with D. veltini (Dognin), with which it is sympatric at YBS. These two taxa are distinguishable by numerous differences in their male genitalia (see Miller and Thiaucourt, 2011).
Geographic Range:
Dognina honeyi is known exclusively from Yanayacu Biological Station, Napo, Ecuador.
Foodplant Associations:
Caterpillars of this species have been recorded feeding on Boehmeria pavonni and Miriocarpa sp (both Urticaceae).
