Caterpillars of this species have been reared at Yanayacu Biological Station (Napo, Ecuador) on a vast range of host plants, including: Palicourea sp (Rubiaceae, YBS voucher #12995); Nectandra sp (Lauraceae, YBS voucher #13971); Ocotea sp (Lauraceae, YBS voucher #62422); Miconia dielsii (Melastomataceae, YBS voucher #36958); Erythrina edulis (Fabaceae, YBS voucher #39050); Pilea microphyla (Urticaceae, YBS voucher #47540); Gunnera brephogea (Gunneraceae, YBS voucher #47842); Acalypha macrostachya (Euphorbiaceae, YBS voucher #48989); Acalypha platyphylla (Euphorbiaceae, YBS voucher #61478); Rubus sp (Rosaceae, YBS voucher #48998, 55981); Adenostemma sp (Asteraceae, YBS voucher #55389); Juglans neotropica (Juglandaceae, YBS voucher #61464); and an unknown species of Gesneriaceae (YBS voucher #14763).
