Larval lepidopteran herbivores collected from Siparuna lepidota in Napo Province, Ecuador (Yanayacu Biological Station and Center for Creative Studies, Baeza Granaja Integral, Isla de Las Palmas).
This information is based an ongoing project dedicated to the inventory and dissemination of information on lepidopteran larvae, their host plants, and their parasitoids in a Costa Rican tropical wet forest and an Ecuadorian montane cloud forest.

Crambidae: Unknown species; N=23
Geometridae: Eois paraviolascens (Dognin); N=1, Unknown spp.; N=23.
Notodontidae: Nebulosa elicioi (Miller); N=1.
Caterpillars from several other families were collected but died during rearing with none pupating. This suggests that these caterpillars do not actually feed on Siparuna lepidota.
